Hosszabb, mintegy 8 év kihagyás után életre kell egy kiváló, sportos hagyomány Győrben, a Magyarországi Szenior Sportjátékok. A rendezvénysorozat idén egy kiváló rekreációs programelemmel bővült, a hazánkban nagy népszerűségnek örvendő szeniortánc mozgalom hívei is eljöttek egy közös örömtáncra.
Az egy napos programon úszás, futás, asztalitenisz, tenisz, sakk és darts szerepelt versenyszintű lehetőségként, de ki lehetett próbálni pl. a lövészetet „lézeres” eszközökkel.
A játékokra Csehországból, Szlovákiából és Romániából összesen mintegy 100 főnyi versenyző érkezett, velük együtt mintegy 850 résztvevője volt a színes eseménynek. Kétség kívül a leglátványosabb eleme a 700 táncost felvonultató szenior örömtánc bemutatónak és oktatásnak volt, melynek keretében 15 hazai szeniortánc oktató segítségével járták a táncos lábúak a táncokat.
A program nem jöhetett volna létre a Visegrádi Alap és Győr város támogatása nélkül.

V. Hungarian Senior Sports Games and Senior Dance Meeting
After a longer stay of about 8 years, an excellent, sporty tradition in Győr, the Senior Sports Games of Hungary, must come to life. The series of events was expanded with an excellent recreational program this year: the fans of the popular dance movement have come to Győr.
The one-day program included swimming, running, table tennis, tennis, chess and darts as a competitive opportunity, but could be tried out eg. shooting with "laser" devices.
A total of 100 riders from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania have played games. With them, there were 850 participants in the color event. The most spectacular element of the program was the senior dance demonstration and education featuring 700 dancers, in which 15 domestic dancing instructors taught dances.
The program could not have been created without the support of the Visegrád Fund and the City of Győr.
